Pre-construction and ECI
Drawing upon our extensive expertise in brickwork, we excel in identifying and addressing design and programmatic challenges during the preconstruction phase. This proves pivotal for the successful delivery of any project, ensuring savings in both time and financial resources. Our approach aligns from the perspective of a brickwork contractor, pinpointing critical program delays, setting-out issues, damp-proof courses (DPC), movement joints, and the use of appropriate materials or suggesting cost-effective alternatives.
In our experience, when this is not completed. We have not initiated a project where program delays stemming from build sequencing and material considerations did not result in significant setbacks, at times spanning months rather than mere days. These delays translate into additional costs in preliminaries and pose potential risks of missing targets and handover deadlines. By actively engaging in the preconstruction phase, we adeptly identify and collaborate with main contractors to resolve such issues before construction drawings are finalized and construction activities commence. This proactive approach, supported by clear and concise drawings, circumvents all too common scenario of requests for information (RFIs) and addendums being raised under the time constraints of the on-site program. This, in turn, prevents undue pressure on an already busy workforce, ranging from technical personnel to quantity surveyors, ultimately saving valuable time and resources.
